Frederick Grouzet
My primary research focus is on the social psychology of harmony, i.e. how to live in harmony with oneself, with others, and with natural/built environment. In particular I study the structure of personal goals and values through a circumplex model (Grouzet, Kasser et al., 2005, JPSP), and the effects of different types of goals and values on self-congruency, personal growth and well-being, intercultural relations, community involvement and volunteerism, and ecological well-being. I am also interested in the influence of education, personally and socially relevant events, and culture upon the development of personal goals and values.
An additional interest is in quantitative psychology. In particular I am interested in measurement invariance and equivalence across samples (e.g., cultures, gender, languages) and across time (i.e., longitudinal study), cross-cultural methodology, and modeling of longitudinal and multilevel data.
